    10 a.m. – 11 a.m.: In the Footsteps of Roman Soldiers: Shoes and other fabulous finds from the Roman Frontier
    University College, Room 224A
    Dr. Elizabeth Greene, one of the Faculty’s newest professors (and our own resident female Indiana Jones!), will talk about the archaeology of Roman Britain. Come learn about Vindolanda, a UNESCO World Heritage site near Hadrian’s Wall in northern Britain, and hear how the materials preserved there (including leather, metals, and shoes) are helping us rethink what we thought we knew about Roman Britain. Dr. Greene will also share plans for the Vindolanda Field School, a unique course only offered to students in the Department of Classical Studies at Western. All welcome.

    Dean Michael Strong invites you to join this Homecoming celebration honouring the illustrious past, exciting present, and visionary future of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at The University of Western Ontario.
    Please join us at this black-tie optional event to toast the recipients of the Medical and Dental Alumni of Distinction Awards, recognizing alumni who have made outstanding contributions to the School, the community, and their profession. Alumni and friends can also view historic exhibits and storyboards, while learning about the future for Schulich Medicine & Dentistry's leading research and academic programs.
    Bill Brady, our Master of Ceremonies, is widely-known for his commitment to volunteer work in the London health care community. A pillar of the London community, he is a member of the Order of Canada, has been inducted into Canada’s Broadcasting Hall of Fame and holds an Honorary Degree from The University of Western Ontario.
    Tickets are available for $75 per person or purchase a table for 10 for $750. This includes a complimentary cocktail, hors d'oeuvres, and a succulent three-course meal accompanied with wine. After dinner, dance the night away with the renowned George St. Kitts band!
